Lumen. A clearer picture of what makes you, you.

A psychological assessment platform built to be usable by everyone, with reliability data behind every score.

Invited to take an assessment?

Here's what to expect before you start.

What it's for

You'll answer questions about your personality, wellbeing and how you function day to day. Your organisation invited you so they can build a fuller picture and support you better.

How long it takes

Usually 15 to 30 minutes, depending on which assessment you've been assigned. Nothing is timed, so take breaks whenever you like.

Your progress is saved

Close the tab whenever you need to. Nothing is lost, and you'll pick up exactly where you left off.

Your privacy

You'll review and accept a consent form before anything is recorded. You can withdraw that consent at any time from your account settings.

Support if you need it

If a question brings something up that's hard to sit with, support resources are there throughout. You're never asked to just push through on your own.

Our mission

Foundation Nova Diem builds tools that help people understand themselves. Clear, honest insight into your own personality, wellbeing and functioning shouldn't depend on whether you can afford a private clinic.

Lumen is used by everyday people, workplaces, schools and clinical teams. The same rigorous assessment that supports a clinician's diagnosis can help a student work out how they learn best, or help a team understand how they work together.

That shapes everything we build, from the words on screen to the technology underneath. If it doesn't work for everyone, it isn't finished.

Science at a glance

19 layers of insight

The Lux framework measures across 19 layers, producing over 300 fields covering personality, wellbeing and functioning.

Adaptive, not fixed

The Big Five assessment uses adaptive testing anchored to the OpenPsychometrics IPIP-FFM calibration, with a 30-facet IPIP-NEO-60 layer for finer-grained detail. Items are chosen to minimise measurement uncertainty, so the result is a reliability-supported descriptive score.

Reliability-supported

Every score comes with a confidence interval where one applies. Every instrument and algorithm is versioned, and reference implementations exist for every scoring path that matters.

Trauma-informed

Built on SAMHSA's 6 principles. Every word a participant reads has been checked for safety.

What sets Lumen apart
